This is our very last newsletter that we are sending out, chances are if you are here reading this, you have already read our last newsletter. But we thought we'd post it again, kind of like a last farewell to writing newsletters.
Five years ago I moved out to Minnesota to start working with Steiger International. Since that time I have grown a lot, got married to a wonderful women and have seen God work in my life and lead me to were I am now. As you know for the past 11 years I have been involved with the Rainbow Gathering ministry, working with hippies, traveling kids, anarchists and whoever else God leads us to share the love and truth that is Jesus Christ.
During the past two years Teresa and I have been praying about traveling with the Rainbow community to different smaller Gatherings that are held around the country year round. We feel that these are an untouched people group who need Christ shown to them in a relevant and loving manner.
Part of our goal before beginning to travel full time was that we wanted to get out of debt. We had been looking for an RV to travel in, but at the beginning of this year we decided to stop looking for an RV that we couldn't afford anyway and focus on getting rid of all debt. We believed that once this was taken care of then we would be blessed with an RV. Well, praise God we have gotten out of debt!! So now we are starting to save and trust that God will provide us with what we need.
Now the time has come for us to do what God has been calling us to. Starting in January 2010 Teresa and I will be traveling full time across the country to different Gatherings spreading the word and love of God.
There will be five others coming with us, they will be traveling in their own buses or RV's. One of the decisions that our team has made is that we will not be raising support while we are out on the road. We felt that in order to be on the same page as those that we are ministering to, that it would make the most sense to not raise support. We don't want our new friends to think that we are going to be getting paid to be with them. We will be working seasonal jobs as we travel around as well as selling crafts that we make at different fairs and festivals.
So this is our last newsletter and it feels a little bittersweet. It will be hard to trust God with so much but somehow we look forward to that as well. We will miss all of you so much, but there is never goodbyes. We will be posting a blog at http://benandt.blogspot.com. Down the road you will here from us again. We will also be traveling back to Massachusetts and Minnesota a lot so we will see you at some point.
This is the time when we will need your prayers the most! We will have to trust in God with our future, our finances and our lives.
I am sorry if this all seems sudden, we have been praying about stopping support and going on the road for the last year, and we feel that now is the time.
God Bless you all and we thank you so much for the years that you have trusted us and believed in us. We would not be who we are today if it was not for all of your prayers and support. If you would like stay in contact please feel free to email us or check out our blog site.
Your friends forever,
Ben and Teresa Pothier
